The educational mission of the DSU REEC is to:

  1. Develop and implement renewable energy and environmental science and engineering technology curricula for DSU full-time, continuing education, and Delaware high school students.
  2. Engage in workforce development with the Continuing Education program by developing and implementing Renewable Energy Certification programs to teach job skills to students and the community required by the energy company.
  3. Conduct outreach programs through seminars and workshops to bring community awareness to the global warming problems and the resulting environmental issues and foster the realization that global warming issues require action from individuals and governments.
  4. Institute in-service training for high school teachers to develop their skills to teach energy-related courses in high school.
